What's new in the Perfect Day App?
All public versions of the app and their most important changes — newest first. Purely technical bug fixes are grouped within their respective releases.
Version history
New homepage
The app now launches on an introductory home page instead of directly in the coupon feed: with a hero section, a "Redeem Code" option, and the categories City Vouchers, Tickets, Voucher Books, and Coupons. The tab bar has five tabs: Home, Coupons, My, Categories, and Profile.
Successor to the previous Perfect Day app
This app replaces the existing Perfect Day app in the App Store as a regular update. Existing users will retain their app ID after the update—all activated codes and redemption history will be automatically preserved.
Five languages
The app is now fully available in German, English, Spanish, Russian, and Turkish. You can change the language in your profile or it will automatically follow your device's settings.
Password reset for provider
Providers who have forgotten their password can request a new one directly in the login process — it will be sent automatically via email.
New app icon
Perfect Day gets its new app icon — a shopping bag with a gift and heart, turquoise accent — on iOS and Android.
Faster image loading
Coupon images are now cached locally and displayed immediately the next time the page is opened. This saves data and makes scrolling smoother.
Filter by category and postal code, sort by distance
A new filter window has been added to the Coupons tab: filter by category and postal code. Coupons are also sorted by distance by default. This update also includes improvements to the top recommendations and minor bug fixes.
Scan the QR code to unlock.
When unlocking a code, you can now scan the QR code with your camera instead of typing it in. Manual entry remains an alternative.
„"Redeem online" for suitable coupons
Coupons redeemed online now display an "Redeem online" button that leads directly to the provider's website. Expired favorites now appear in the Expired tab.
„"My Coupons" shows Redeemed and Expired coupons
The "My Coupons" section now also shows redeemed and expired coupons — clearly separated by status, with a clear indication of what can still be used.
Redeem via QR code
New redemption methods: End customers present their voucher code as a QR code, which the provider scans — or conversely, they scan the provider's QR code themselves. Codes no longer need to be typed in.
Categories with image and icon
The category tiles now display a background image and a matching icon — making the category overview clearer and more appealing.
Manage profile: picture, email, delete account
End customers can now upload a profile picture, change their email address (confirmed via code) and delete their account directly in the app.
Perfect Day rebuilt
The app has been completely redesigned and, as version 3, succeeds the classic Perfect Day app — modern technology and the basis for all further functions.
Prior to version 3.0, development took place in internal pre-release versions (0.x). These are not listed individually here.
